Brett Mackinga stands as a seasoned troubadour, his music echoing through the decades with a timeless resonance. As a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, his career spans several eras, drawing inspiration from a diverse array of musical influences that include Donovan, Simon and Garfunkel, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Crosby Stills and Nash, Neil Young, America, Jerry Garcia, and The Grateful Dead.

Born and bred amidst the sun-kissed landscapes of Southern California, Brett’s musical journey began in the heart of a vibrant cultural scene. From the folk revival of the 1960s to the blues-infused rock of the 1970s, he soaked in the eclectic sounds of the times, channeling them into his own unique blend of Folk, Blues, Classic Rock, Americana, New Age, and Jazz.

Venturing beyond his native shores, Brett’s wanderlust led him to explore musical landscapes in Hawaii and Australia, where he collaborated with Australian luminaries such as Nik Phillips, Wiley Reed, and Lee Taylor. Immersed in these diverse musical traditions, he honed his craft and expanded his artistic horizons before eventually returning to the United States.
